Obituary of Sybil Slemp

MARION, VIRGINIA: SYBIL SAYERS SLEMP, age 92, widow of C.J. Slemp, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia. She is survived by one daughter, Harriet Ann Sink of Chester, Virginia; one sister, Jean S. Bailey of Marion, Virginia; two granddaughters, Nina Sink Bridgman of Blue Ridge, Virginia and Bettina Sybil Bryant of Lynchburg, Virginia; one great-granddaughter, Alexa Layne; and one great-grandson, Peyton Bryant. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Marion Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Ross and Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
