I was stunned to learn of Darryl's passing. I'm still having a hard time accepting it. To his children, fiance, and family I am sorry for your loss. It has been awhile since the last time I saw him. But when we did see each other, it was like the days when we were roommates at "the roost", as he called it. We never had a dull moment. He always knew how to bring people out of feeling down. Most times it would start with the "jungle bird" laugh. I can't help but smile when I think of him. D.P. you will be missed. Your friend, Moon.

I just heard of Darryl's passing and I am heartbroken! I have always cherished the times we went to visit him in Roanoke when Ashley was just a baby! He always greeted me with that gorgeous smile and a big hug! I saw him a few years ago and he hadn't changed one bit. I was saddened & shocked to hear of Darryl's passing. He will certainly be remembered and missed by the class of '81. He was my first "boyfriend" in the 5th grade and memories of our school years together will always make me smile.

Today I'm thinking about Ashley, who has grown into a beautiful young lady who Darryl was so proud of. Today I'm thinking about sweet little Aaron, who looks just like his daddy. Today I'm thinking about Brianna, who loved her daddy so much. Today I'm thinking about Mom Mom, who without a doubt is the strongest individual I know. Today I thinking about Aunt Tootles, and how her heart is breaking for her baby brother.
