Obituary of Harlow Atkins

MARION, VIRGINIA: HARLOW CAMERON ATKINS, age 95, died Thursday, April 01, 2010 in Frances Marion Manor Nursing Home. He was born October 10, 1914 in Atkins, Virginia. Mr. Atkins was a longtime faithful member of The First United Methodist Church in Marion, Virginia. He had been an employee of Atkins Motor Company and later retired from Parks Belk where he had worked for over eighteen years. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Hazel Duncan Atkins of Marion, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and David Archer of Marion, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Jane Atkins of Forest, Virginia and Dennis and Sharon Atkins of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Jonathan Jonas officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion, Virginia. Family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
