When we visit Hodie, I always leave her a note before leaving. I thank her for all she did for me and my family.I thank her for how she makes me and my family feel so special, for all the loves she gives us and of course in the note I always tell her how much she means to all of us. This time I want to thank Hodie for giving us the Scott families for without them my world would not be as blessed as it is today. I will always love you and miss you. You will always be in my heart. LOVE DONNA AND MANNY

So many of my fondest memories of my childhood of are our vacations to Virginia. Softball games on Hodie's front lawn with the cows watching from beyond the fences; family dinners with the juiciest tomatoes and grapefruits (and, most importantly, the best conversations); making fools of ourselves on an annual basis, both on an off camera; and just being around family and loved ones without a care in the world. Although so many years have passed since those days, in my mind I remember them like they were yesterday. Hodie was so special to me - a caring and loving person with so much warmth in her heart - and, like my memories, she will always be cherished and never be forgotten. Although, unfortunately, my daughter Sydney and my wife Lee never had the pleasure to meet Hodie, through my stories of her and the times our family spent together, I will make sure that they know what a beautiful person she was.

As a young married girl I went to visit Marion Va. with much trepidation. How would my new husband's family treat me? Would I be accepted? The warmth shown by Hodie made all my fears seem foolish. Love and happiness was felt in the Scott home. Hodie will surely be missed by all

I cannot even start putting into words how much I am going to miss Aunt Hodie. Going to Marion was the highlight of my families summer. We would sing "We are Virginia Bound" for weeks before even going. Driving around the corner and going over the bridge to Hodie's house was amazing. Everybody running out of the house to meet us. WE would cry when we had to leave and convince my dad to let us stay just one more day... I am so sorry that I was unable to visit more often then I did. I will always love Hodie and everything that encompasses her. To this day, I don't know anybody that makes better bacon than she did. Love you and miss you with all my heart

We will never forget all of the memories that we have shared with you. We would always start our trip off to Virginia on the right foot as we would get off 81, hitting the horn of the car, jumping up and down to see you. Going to Virginia will never be the same. We love you and will miss you.
