Miss Bonham was my teacher and mentor. Leah and I were friends in good and hard times. I find it hard to accept we will never sit around that kitchen table and talk for hours and hours. I will always miss her. Til we meet again, Joyce

As one of Leah's many Marion College students that has kept in touch with her over the years through reunions, visits, etc. I can only tell you there is a big hole in our lives now. We will miss her smiling presence at our gatherings. To Lee and Carolyn, you had a special mother. I wish we could have been there with you to let you know in person how much your mom meant to us. I am going to try to share some pictures with you, but don't know how that works. Our love to all of you, Harriet and Bobby Smith

So sorry to hear of Leah's death I worked with her at the library during 79 and 80. I also did realize that when I purchased my house that she was my neighbor. I am sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Buchanan was my PE teacher and was such a caring and fun-loving person. She so enjoyed life and generated an aura of energy whenever one encountered her. Here values and zest for community involvement have been instilled in her family. In my Marion days, I was known as "Droop". My prayers are with you.

Easter came early for Leah this year. I was her father's and her brother's pastor at St. James. I enjoyed Wednesday lunches at Mr. Everett's, and Leah sometimes joined us, pulling up in the bookmobile. She was a delightful person. May God comfort her family and friends in their grief, and may the victory over death that is ours in the resurrection of Jesus bring joy to all who mourn as you celebrate Leah's life and the love she shared with others. In Christ, ML+

Have known Leah ever since her sister, Carolyn, was my "little sister" at MJC. Kept up to her all through the many years of her career. We shall miss her.
