Obituary of Robert Hanshew

NEBO, VIRGINIA: ROBERT "Bob" HANSHEW, age 96, died Thursday, August 20, 2009, at his home. He was a member of Ezelle United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Scott Hanshew and three sons, Eddie, Bobby and Goatie Hanshew. Mr. Hanshew is survived by two daughters & one son-in-law, Peggy & Raney Price of Tyrone, Georgia, and Janice Osborne of Atkins, Virginia; one son and four daughters-in-law, Darrell & Rachel Hanshew of Kennesaw, Georgia, Debby Hanshew of Atkins, Virginia, Sandy Hanshew of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Joyce Hanshew of Chilhowie, Virginia; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Randolph Hanshew and Donald and Mae Hanshew of Ceres, Virginia; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 23, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. William A. Schoeneman, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Nebo, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
