Obituary of William Tilson

MARION, VIRGINIA: WILLIAM "BILL" TILSON, age 61, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 in Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. He was a member of South Fork Baptist Church. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Air Force and was a member of Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. He had worked in the medical field for over 31 years. He was preceded in death by his father, James Mason Tilson. Bill is survived by his wife, Bessie Tilson of Marion, Virginia; one daughter, Ashleigh Clark and husband, Jeff, of Marion, Virginia; one son, James "Jamey" Tilson and wife, Crystal, of Marion, Virginia; his mother, Georgia Richardson of Marion, Virginia; one sister, Virginia Thompson of Bristol, Virginia; one brother, Daniel Tilson and wife, Alice of Springfield, Virginia; two granddaughters, Caitlyn Tilson and Danielle Clark and a grandson on the way; very special friends, Terry Darnell and Allen Jones; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mark Totten and Rev. Bobby Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia where military rites will be conducted by Marion V.F.W. Post #4667.
