I still have a jar of "50 cent pieces" that includes some that Uncle Gene gave me as a kid. I would run out to greet him on Sunday afternoons at Grandma Kirk's house and he would slip one in my pocket. I wish I could be there to say goodbye but I do have great memories of a wonderful uncle to cherish forever.
