Obituary of Carole Burkett

MARION, VIRGINIA: CAROLE J. BURKETT. age 65, died Friday, October 3, 2008 in the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid walker. Carole was a loving wife, mother and exceptionally involved grandmother. She is survived by her husband, T.W. Burkett, Marion, Virginia; one daughter and son-in-law, Dee Dee and Chris Evans of Emory, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Lynn Burkett of Marion, Virginia; one brother and sisters-in-law, Neil and Rita Johnson of Saltville, Virginia and Phyllis Burkett of Rich Valley, Virginia; five grandchildren, Chryssie Evans-Swanner and husband Chris, Christopher Evans, Caroline, Tommy, and Will Burkett; one niece, Cindy Burkett; three nephews, Mark Burkett, Steve Johnson and Tim Johnson. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Mike Teague officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
