I WAS SURPRISED AND SADDENED BY THE PASSING OF CAROLE. SHE WAS AN ABSOLUTE WONDERFUL WOMAN. I ENJOYED GETTING TO KNOW HER YEARS AGO, WHEN WE ATTENDED THE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE. THE "RACE TRACK" WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT HER. THE FAMILY IS IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. GOD BLESS!!

We were out of town when Mrs. Burkett passed away. She was the first person to welcome me and Mark to the neighborhood when we moved in two years ago. She was such a nice and sweet person. The "race track" will never be the same. No one could make tracks like she could. We will miss her dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mr. Burkett and family. If there is anything that we can do, please do not hesitate to ask.

TW, Tom and Dee Dee, I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Burketts passing. I have nothing but fond memories of the Burkett family. Whether a bunch of us kids were over playing football in the front yard...or just hanging out, we were always treated like family and Mrs. Burkett made us feel "right at home". Thanks for the wonderful memories... God bless each of you

Dear Tom, I'm so sorry about your mom. It was just the other day when I saw you and your Dad at the Mexican Resturant and he was telling me about her retirement. Your Mom was the greatest and she helped me get my first job which was with her at the Commissioners Office. I remember Brickey taking her over to her house and she would paint Jessica's nails. I want you to know I'm thinking about you and the entire family and if you need me please call me. Love, Jill

T.W., Tom, Dee Dee and Neil... San and I have been out of town for the past couple of days. I have just learned of Carol's death and I am truly in shock. Carol was such an inspiration to everybody who knew her. As former neighbors, and friends for decades, neither San nor I could ever find the words to express our grief. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine not seeing her beautiful, bright smile everytime I would see her out at lunch, at the grocery store or other places around town. We feel privileged to have known her and called her our friend. God has called another angel to heaven. Bless you all in your time of grief.

Mr.Burkett,Tom,D.D.,and Family, Many years have passed since Joe and I flatened your bushes on Chatham Hill Road. We were so afraid to tell because Mr. Burkett would not be the most upset, it would be our dad and boy would we get it. Time sure does pass by, but we really do not change. Carole was a "Super Lady" and the Courthouse will not be the same without her. This is not an easy time, but God will somehow help you through it. God Bless!
