Dear Family, So very sorry to hear about Don. He and his Mom, Dad, brothers and sister, used to attend church with us at the First Church of God in Chilhowie, when we were very young. May God grant you peace that passes all understanding. Betty Tuell Blevins

Nellie, Roger, Curtis and families, Don will be missed by so many, because he touched the lives of so many. His smiles, and the smiles that he generated from others will be a memory that will always be kept close to heart. He is no longer in pain, no suffering and surely bringing the smiles to the angels that carried him away on that fateful morning. May God bless and keep you in this time of loss. Don will always be alive in your hearts as long as you hold his memories close.

This precious Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and much more; has now stepped from a vale of tears and heartache into a land of wonderful peace. Nellie, you were truly bones of bones and flesh of flesh and we will be lifting you up before God for we know you will greatly miss Don as part of your life. To both his sons, Roger and Curtis, I ask each of you to hold all the precious memories of your Dad close to your heart. That is something death can’t take away from you. He gave you so many moments of love, joy and yes, lots of laughter - just hold tight to those moments. Remember how he laughed and was full of life while in the House of God the night before he was to be escorted by the Angels into the presence of the Lord. Talking to him I found he loved gardening but I also discovered that his main garden was his family. To his Grandchildren, I pray God’s grace be with you in your time of lose. However, it is just for a little while for he is now awaiting on us on the other side. All we have to do is be ready for that day. We will see him again, Praise God. As Don embraces his family on the other side in joy may his family on this side of eternity embrace one another with love. It is the power that will see you through. Herman and Pam Cress
