My little heart is deeply saddened by the loss of one of the kindest people I have ever had the opportunity of knowing. Uncle Rudy's sweet smile and comforting hugs will be missed the most. I feel truly blessed to have known him and love him. Deepest Sympathy....

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Uncle Rudy. I have many happy memories of him -- two memories spring immediately to mind: his spirited "aggravating" of my mother and sister for many years (especially my sister ... he was an ally in the ongoing brother/sister feud) and his telling me about his World War II experiences as we stood on the grass outside the Smyth County Courthouse on a summer day's patriotic observance ... the now-lost opportunity that we'd talk more about WWII "sometime." Uncle Rudy was truly one of the kindest people that it has been my pleasure and privelege to have known. I will miss him ... this year's family reunion will not be the same. My deepest condolences to everyone that has known and loved him.
