Family of "Dude" Whisman, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of a man I considered a good friend when I worked at the Bank of Marion. He has been in my thoughts many times since I left Marion about twenty years ago. He was one of the kindest, most caring people I have ever known and I missed him after leaving the bank. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that he DID make a difference in my life.

Pauline, Bobbie, Richard and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. We all lost one of the most caring, loving and patient men. I am so blessed by the lessons he taught me - things no book ever could. He taught me to take pride in everything that I did and he taught me the value of honesty, love and respect. He BELIEVED in FAMILY and the things he did for my mom, dad and all of us Stump kids will never be forgotten. I pray that your hearts will heal in due time, as we all are feeling the loss of an extraordinary uncle, husband, father, grandpa and true all-American veteran and hero. Our prayers are with you. With Love, David and Leanne Stump and Girls- Blaine, Jordan and Erin “…But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Dear Pauline and Family, I was so sorry to hear of your lose. "Dude" was one of my favorite people to see when we had the "Whisman Family Reunions" at Hungry Mother. He was always such a pleasant and gemtle man. He reminded me a lot of "Uncle Pen". He was also very kind as mom and dad aged by visiting and helping out when he could. Please accept our sincere condolences from the entire family of Howard and Virginia Whisman. Mom and Dad thought the world of him. May God hold you in the hollow of His hand as you go through the grieving process and comfort you with wonderful memories of the times spent together. With love and affection Shirley Whisman and all the Whisman boys.
