Greg was a classmate of mine in Marion. We watched "Bubbles" grow in stature and wisdom - The Dancing Bear's famous footwork was demanded and wildly applauded when he wrestled. But when he wasn't on the mat or on the football field I recall that he was a gentle giant. I just heard of his passing and hadn't thought of Greg in some time. But I'm thinking now. He was a fine man. Thanks for the memories friend.

Dear Karen and Family, It was a great shock as I just learned of Greg's passing. I graduated from Marion in '73, I remember times we played together in little league as well as gym class, and learned a bit about the important things in life by witnessing Bubbles success in sports coupled with his humility. I saw him as a bear of a man, but a gentle and true friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May God bless you all and help ease the pain.

Dear Families, Bubba was a dear friend from the very beginning. Having a slight physical handicap in Intermediate school and on through Sr. High was not a problem to me with friends around like Bubba. He would hold on to me with those big strong, but gentle hands and I knew there was no way I would trip or fall. He was a Brother to me and I will think of him always. Our thoughts are with the families of such a strong and fine leader of the community, and the soft loving leader of the family that he was.

Dear Karen and Family, I was very shocked to get the news of Greg's death. I know you are going through a lot also. I remembered the times we would visit VA and play football in Uncle Bill's front yard when we were younger. When I remembered those good times we had it eased the pain of the lost(his death). I know it hurts now--cry and get it off your chest and God will help ease the pain as time goes by. I know we never met but my heart goes out to you and as family we all need to get together one day. May God Bless and Keep You Love Always, Karen L. Steele
