Liz and all the Gailliot family, I was so sorry to read in the Roanoke paper this morning about your mother's death and so close on the heels of losing Robert. I was a friend of Robert's at Emory and Henry but have not been in touch since graduation and I had no idea he was ill. My sister and I often talk about a trip we took with him during college for a big Peace Rally in New York. We have some funny pictures of him and can still remember some of the crazy things he did. I am so sad that he is gone and I wish I could have seen him again. I can't imagine how difficult this summer has been for you all. My sympathy goes out to you.

I last saw Annette at the St.Mary's Parochial School reunion in 2000 and we enjoyed a wonderful time with both she and Elizabeth. My daughter, Barbara attended with me and enjoyed visiting with them also. We did correspond after for a time and I was so sorry to learn of her passing. Annette had her share of sorrow with Robert, the loss of her son and other hard times and I am sure she has been escorted into the arms of God by all the Angels. She was a nice and good person and a delight to know. My family and I extend our sincerest sympathy.

I am so glad that Annette and daughter Elizabeth were able to come to the 8th grade class reunion we had in 2000. Annette looked great and we all had a wonderful time reminiscing. Rest in peace Annette and you are now with your husband.
