I am so sorry to hear about Tim's passing. He was our club pro at Hidden Valley Country Club when I met him in the early '90's. He was always a pleasure to be around and was a great friend to me and my wife Debbie. I'll always remember fun times when I think of him. He will be sorely missed. Our prayers will be with your family during this difficult time. God Bless and Rest in Peace Tim.

Having known Tim for most of my life, I was deeply saddened to hear about my friend, "Bippy." We played many rounds of golf together growing up in Marion. During the more recent months, Bippy was helping my son with golf lessons at JCCC. It was always a treat to see & talk to him at JCCC. God broke the mold when he made Bippy. He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. My family & I send our condolences to Fran & "Big C." Fritzie, Kim, Merrick & Lindyn

My thoughts & prayers are with you, Tim?s family. Tim was a dear friend and a great gentle man. I met Tim many years ago at Fincastle C.C. He fondly and appropriately dubbed me ?Hinge? due to my inability to swing without bending my elbow. He was always friendly, kind and fun to be around. We crossed paths various times over the years and it was always so nice to hear his pleasant ?Hinge? or see his smiling face. He truly was the epitome of a kind, gentle soul.

To the Hollbrook family: We are very sorry for your loss of Tim. My wife and boys met Tim at the country club in Johnson City in 2000. He always had a big smile for everybody, making everyone feel welcome. Being an avid golfer myself, I loved to discuss the intricacies of the golf swing with Tim, which he loved to do and offered so much. Tim brightened our lives and we thank you for those memories. I know that you miss him as we do. He will be in our thought and prayers. Jim, Jeannie, Matt & Mike Snyder

Tim was a great friend throughout high school at MSHS. I remember he always had a smile and kind word. Even though I have not seen him since we graduated, I have often asked about him. He was just a great guy. Please know your family will be in my thoughts and prayers and may God keep you close during this most difficult time.

I met Tim about 3 years ago. He always had a kind word to say to lift your spirits. He was always making me laugh. He was very supportive of me through a rough divorce. I have 2 sons and they wanted to go to a contemporary christian music concert with Steven Curtis Chapman and Casting Crowns. I didn't have the money. I had asked Tim if he knew of any discount outlets for the tickets. He said that he would check on it and let me know. He called me later in the day and told me that tickets were waiting for me and my sons at the Freedom Hall Box office. I didn't want to accept the gift. He said that it made him feel good to do things for others and that the Lord would bless him for making 2 little boys happy. Tim was such a kind and giving soul. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss and I will keep your family in my prayers. love, Brenda Blair

The Waterfront Ladies Golf Association at Smth Mountain Lake wish to send their condolances. Tim was great about remembering everyone's name and was always upbeat - many things he taught us are still being used today - especially "MARK YOUR BALL" which has saved us all a lot of headaches. We remember him with a smile on our faces and sadness in our heart.

To the family of Tim Holbrook, please accept my deepest condolences on your loss.Tim was one of the nicest young men that I have ever met and I will never forget him. I first met him when he was the assistant golf pro at the Bristol C.C. He was always in good spirits and was always ready to try and help me with my golf game. I was standing in the practice bunker flailing away at golf balls and Tim came up behind me, made a simple adjustment and within 5 minutes had me hitting decent shots. I would see him again from time to time at the Johnson City C.C. and it would be the same genuine person walking up to greet me with a big smile and a kind word. Tim will be missed by a lot of people, but none anymore than me. I'm sure God now has a wonderful golf pro with him in Heaven. Sincerely, Dr. Bob Chapman

Many hearts are saddened with the news of Tim's passing. I only met him in person one time (which was a wonderful experience); however, I spoke with him many, many times over the years when I would call to make a tee time for my boss, Steve Fox. Tim was always the same at each conversation - witty and joking - you could "see" his smile over the telephone. Each of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am truly sorry to hear about Tim's passing. As an avid golfer and member of the Johnson City Country Club I got the great oppurtunity to meet Tim. He always had a quick comment about my "slice" and would always stand on the first tee box to watch me hit. He truly loved the game of golf, but more important, he truly loved people in general. From his fun loving nature to his great golf game, I will never forget Tim. He was there for me during some hard parts of my life, and always made me feel better about myself. Tim, you will be missed by everybody that ever was around you. You are in a much better place now, and may you spend eternity always shooting under par!

I have known Tim for years and he was always a joy to be around. I came to work at the JCCC in September of 2006, and Tim was definitely the most pleasant and helpful person to me! He would come to my office daily and help me plan activities and give me good ideas. He would bring me chocolate chip cookies and chocolates. I will miss him greatly but I guess God needed that great beautiful smile to cheer him up daily.
