Obituary of David Burton

MARION, VIRGINIA: DAVID HAMILTON BURTON, age 66, died Saturday, April 15, 2006 at his home in Marion, Virginia. He was born February 3, 1940 in Bristol, Virginia to the late Ward and Elizabeth Dunn Burton. He was a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Marion, Virginia. Mr. Burton was a graduate of Emory and Henry College and Radford College. He was an administrator in the Smyth County School System where he retired in 1998 following 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Anne Wright Burton of Marion, Virginia; One daughter and son-in-law, Beth Anne Coe and James Coe of Marion, Virginia; One son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Burton and Dr. Tisha Hayes of Charlottesville, Virginia; One sister and brother-in-law, Bettie and Bernie Eller of Charleston, West Virginia; Twin granddaughters, Emmy and Abby Coe; One grandson, Preston Burton; Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church with Pastor James H. Bangle officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church Columbarium. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
