I knew Nancy for 30 years. I knew her as a skilled social worker and as a humanistic, kind and generous-hearted individual who gave of herself for others. We are all diminished by our loss. Sincerely, Joanne Childers 3951 NW 23 Circle Gainesville, FL 32605

I can't remember not knowing Nancy. She was a colleague of my mother's, Judy Levy, on the Child Psychiatry unit at the University of Florida when I was a kid -- but she was much more to Mom. She was the "smartest person with the best heart" that she knew. Mom was always commenting on Nancy's sweetness and smartness, literally. They were terrific friends. When Mom died Nancy was right there for me. I was in Graduate School and had not really had much contact with her for years. She was very supportive of me in dealing with my business and younger brother when mom became ill. I got to know Nancy and the intelligence and good heart Mom spoke of for my self. Nancy has been MY friend ever since. I will always remember her very lucid political arguments (which I generally agreed with) always came from the goodness of her heart. I thought Nancy was ALWAYS right. And now she is gone. And my world -- and our world is much less than it was. I loved Nancy and I already miss her deeply. I am truly sorry for our loss. Tom Levy
