Obituary of John B. "JB" Styron
MARION, Va.
John B. "JB" Styron, age 86, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tenn.
John was a loving husband, wonderful dad and granddad. He had his priorities in order – he loved his Lord and was a long time member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church where taught Sunday school and sang in the choir with his family. He was a supportive and nurturing dad to his children, who were just in awe of his swimming ability, they all learned to swim on the coast. John loved his country, and served for 18 years with the Smyth County School Board and as chairman for 15 years. His work with General Dynamics strengthened our military's Air Force with all of the special designs on many of our nation's fighter planes. He served his country with pride in the Maryland and Virginia National Guard. A true testament to faith, family, and country, John Styron will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Beatrice Styron; and siblings, Faye, Bobby, and Richard.
