John and family, I am very sorry to hear about your Dad’s passing. I always remember him being at our basketball games. Then later I had the privilege to work with him at Brunswick/General Dynamics. He was a leader in every since of the word. Kurt’s words are exactly how we all saw John. He truly made the world a better place. You will be in our prayers. Greg Barton

John is one of the best men and most intelligent engineers I've ever known. He is one of a select group of people who built Marion into the World's best radome manufacturer and the monopoly that resulted. For those of us who had the privilege of working for / with him, we know that Marion has been and will always be standing on John's shoulders. I used to love sitting in on meetings and design reviews with John, Clyde, Art, Harold, Jess, Meanie (no last names required for those that know) and just soak up the technical knowledge and experience these men had about radome design, development, fab and test. My career was shaped by these men and I'll never forget it. My heart and prayers for peace go out to Joanne, the Styron family, and the Brunswick Defense family. Thank you, John, and Godspeed home. I used to love coming to the Styron home as a child, The Styron's were such a fun family. They were always kind and sharing for all the neighbors who came around. I am sending prayers to the entire family. I know he will be missed.
