Ronnie was tremendous neighbor of 27 years and more importantly a great friend. I have many fond memories of us fishing the Rappahannock River for smallmouth bass. Ronnie was a fun guy and a joy to be around. He loved his family and will truly be missed. RIP my friend.

Dear Houck family,
So many good memories came to mind of our dear friend after hearing the news of Ronnie’s passing. Where to begin! We were neighbors for 27 years on Culpeper Street, our children grew up together, and we were friends. That’s quite a history! Ronnie always had a smile and a kind word when he greeted you. Please know each of you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time and hold tightly to your precious memories.

Yesterday, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of S.W. Va. my only Brother, Ronnie Houck, was laid to rest in a private burial at Zion Church Cemetery, Nebo, Va. surrounded by his children and grandchildren in the midst of family graves from several generations. From my earliest memories of Ronnie, he taught me to be a die-hard Dodgers fan. Appropriately, his family made sure our Dodgers were appropriately displayed. I celebrate Ronnie's joining many of our '55 World Series Boys of Blue.

We are truly sorry for Mr. Houck's family. We enjoyed his visits with us. He was an incredibly kind, humble person. We all enjoyed his company and truly enjoyed working for him. This is sad; however, I feel sure he is walking (maybe driving a chariot) the streets of gold. God bless all of you. We were truly fortunate to get to know him.

Gramps was always so proud of his granddaughter’s achievements. He attended my cheer competitions, football games, National Honor Society induction, concerts, awards ceremonies, grandparents day, graduations, etc. anything he could to support us in our endeavors, he did.

This photo was taken in 1972 after Dad got a good paying job and we moved to Fredericksburg. After years of living in a trailer we bought our first house. We were moving up the economic ladder thanks to Dad’s learning advanced mathematics on his own and working hard. The photographer put this photo on public display for a couple of years in his studio. He thought we were a good looking family.
