I was so sorry to hear of Officer Burkett’s death and we want to express our most sincere sympathies to you and the family during this difficult time from his fellow brothers and sisters at Augusta Correctional Center. Officer Burkett was a highly valuable and respected officer that we enjoyed having at our facility on multiple occasions.
Please accept my sincere condolences for you and the family. Officer Burkett was a remarkable man and we are very thankful to of had the opportunity to work with him.
He will be greatly missed and everyone here is saddened by his death. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and MCTC during this difficult time.

Words cannot properly express the feelings for your loss. All our hearts our heavy and grief stricken. Trenton was a true asset to MCTC and outstanding young man. He was well liked by his peers and fellow officers. He made my job as supervisor easy and was destin to go far in his career. Just know Jeff, Ramey, and Brian that you are still part of the MCTC family and we are here for you and you family.

I only knew Trenton from McDonald's in Rural Retreat. He was always very kind, friendly, and polite. He was missed when he when on his journey to a better job. And he will be missed and thought of often. May God give you peace in this time of need.

He was my first and only love, gone before my eyes much too soon. Words can’t describe the amount of hurt I’m feeling right now; but I know his family is feeling far worse and I can’t begin to imagine.
I’ve found myself desperately clutching onto everything he’s ever given me, wearing clothes and jewelry and other gifts like a lifeline because it’s the only thing physical I have left...
I have 5 years worth of memories with him, and now all I can do is look back and try to smile despite the pain.
He was everything to me and always has been.
