Frances was my third grade teacher in 1969. I wrote her often and called here and there.
I was later her paper boy.
Bagged her groceries at Mick- or- Mack.
Lifeguarded at Sugar Loaf pool.
Pumped gas for her at Cave Spring Exxon.
She was always a pleasure to talk to.
She made me call her "Grandma Carroll" later on.
She was a very special person. And friend.
My deepest sympathies to you all.

Our love and prayers to my cousins - we share in your loss. I feel like Tanny had a big part in my career choice. She told Dad about the state teacher scholarships and I applied. So I took courses to get my teaching certificate - leading to a 45 year career in education. That is just one of the many ways she touched my life.

Mrs. Carroll was my 3rd grade teacher at Cave Spring Elementary School in 1964. She took a shy, quiet little girl with no confidence and made her feel safe, secure, and special every single day. She was such an exceptional woman and will always hold a dear place in my heart. My sympathy to all who loved her. I know you will mess her greatly.
