My Mother, Eula Ruby Blevins, grew up in Whitetop with Jim Blevins. For the last two
years I have been visiting Jim at different nursing homes and reliving some of the past adventures
he had experienced. He was a sweet and kind man who enjoyed the company of others.
I live in Bristol, VA, and the first time I met Jim was when his wife, Genelle, called me and asked
that I come and visit them. He only lived about two miles from me. I will miss seeing Jim but
know he will be in heaven with my Mom and Dad.
