Eliza, Jim, and Dee, It was with great sadness that I read about Bill's passing. He was always so kind to us and really felt like family. Regardless of where we saw each other, he always took the time to visit and ask about each member of the family. He even developed a strong relationship with our daughter, Susan, who worked at Tom Jones Drug Store. I admired the way he supported Emory and Henry and was glad he got to spend so many years near the college. I would often see him jogging here in Lynchburg and enjoyed seeing him at may of the college functions. I know Bill had a good life and enjoyed people. We will certainly miss seeing him especially at Emory's football games. You have our deepest sympathy. Wish we could get together at some point. Best wishes to all of you. Don, Linda, Susan and Janis (my sister)

We are so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. He was well thought of by many and always a pleasure to talk to whenever we would see him at E & H ballgames or at church. We rejoice in his home going but will miss his ever friendly smile. Prayers for the family in this time of transition.
