Obituary of Roy Hall

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: ROY S. HALL, age 86, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hall retired from the United States Army as a Chief Sergeant Major/E-9 after 28 years of service. Roy was a faithful member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. He loved his Lord, his family, his country and his community. He will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby and Eva Hall. He is survived by his wife Loretta D. Hall of Sugar Grove, Virginia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and Jerry Thompson, Henderson, Nevada; Janice and Reid McLaughlin, San Jacinto, California; Sherri and Steve Alexander, Marion, Virginia, two sons and daughters-in law, Randall and Kathi Hall, Brush Prairie, Washington and Larry and Susie Hall, Flower Mound, Texas; two sisters, Lucy and Howard Richardson, Sugar Grove, Virginia and Mary Jo Ross, Melbourne, Florida; fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sugar Grove Baptist Church, Sugar Grove, Virginia with Reverend Billy Gwinn and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Burial with follow in Slemp Cemetery with Military RItes conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Funeral Chapel.
