Obituary of John Crewey
MARION, VIRGINIA: JOHN PRESTON CREWEY, JR., age, 81, died peacefully at his son's home and went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2015.
Born on September 29, 1933 in Atkins, Virginia, he was a well-known professional residential and commercial painter for more than sixty-five years.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki and husband Robert Blevins and Carmen Young all of Bristol, Tennessee; one son, Jay and wife, Jennifer Crewey of Atkins, Virginia; one grandson, Ryan Crewey and one granddaughter, Natasha Crewey; one sister, Loretta and husband Isom Hubble of Chester, Virginia; one nephew, Preston and wife, Debbie Hubble; three step-grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Archie Ann Crewey; mother and father, Ruby J. and John Preston Crewey, Sr.; his mother-in-law, Bertie Morgan Galligher; and his beloved dog, Peaches.
Funeral Service will be held, Sunday, January, 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside service will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
