We were so sorry of Gordon passing.what a wonderful time they're having in Heaven. Gordon was a very sweet man who always had suckers to give to everyone. I still have a couple trophies he made for me in Cub scout days, I treasure them. God bless Margaret, Sheila 11, Stan and the rest of the family,

Deb and I have so many precious memories of time spent with "Papa Gordon" and Miss Ruth in our years at Cedar Bluff. He was truly a great man, one of strong convictions and a tremendous faith. He was a true patriot with a love of country and a deep devotion to his Lord. We are saddened in this time for Margaret and Sheila and the rest of the family, but can't help but smile this morning as I imagine him rejoicing with his precious Ruth and Martha his daughter, and multitudes of others. We would love to be there tonight for the celebration of his life, but are in revival in our new church and it won't be possible. Please know you are remembered today, and held up in prayer both by Deb and I as well as by our church.

Shelia, Margaret, and family; I was so sorry to hear about Gordon. Looking back to the years when we organized and built Calvary Baptist Church,these were some of the best years of my life. Gordon prayed with me when I made a profession of faith. He was like a Father to me and I loved and appreciated him so much. To the family of Mr. Patton, I had the honor of knowing Mr. Patton through being a member at different churches in Marion with him and Ruth. I also had the honor of having him salute the Boy Scouts of America during parade times and telling the boys to hold the flag high. I know he will be missed; however he leaves a legancy like no other. He lived for his family and God. I know he will be missed as Ruth has been in church, etc. He is watching over you, just a veil away. He will hear you when you need him. God Bless each of you during this time of grief.
