My late sister, Mary Jane Blankenbeckler, was getting married and we were traveling from Delaware to share her special day. We were in our little blue bug and my parents were traveling in their own vehicle. We broke down on the way there and had to get repairs done so Mom and Dad (Chris and Ivan) took my little dauschund with them. When we finally arrived, my dad had given my dog to Aunt Anne and Uncle Ed!! They were so thrilled to have him that I did not have the heart to say no. Over the years they sent me picture and updates--they truly loved and spoiled her rotten.

So sorry to hear about Ed. He was a wonderful person and I will always remember him, growing up in Sugar Grove, and more recent visiting when I was in the area. Ed and Ann always welcomed the Harrington family when we had our reunion.

If I remember right, Aunt Ann rolled a newspaper up and told Uncle Ed to get the bear away from the apple tree. When we visited them Uncle Ed had a band aid on his nose and Aunt Ann said it was to keep him out of her business. They were fun to visit and I will surely miss him when I visit.
