Obituary of Nicholas Howard

LEBANON, VIRGINIA: NICHOLAS BRUCE HOWARD, age 24, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at his home. Nicholas was born on August 15, 1988 in Abingdon, Virginia. He grew up in Lebanon, Virginia and was a 2007 graduate of Lebanon High School. He was employed by Hapco. Nicholas was of the Methodist faith and was a member of Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed music and was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Jeanne Howard; and cousin, Kelly Wallace. Nicholas is survived by his parents, Doug and Melba Howard; brother, Chadwick Howard; son, Jace Compton and Jace's mother, Ann Compton; maternal grandparents, Bruce and Mary Lou Midkiff; aunt's and uncle's, Amy and Douglas Grinnan, and Pam and Greg Wallace; cousins, John Grinnan and Katie Wallace. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 13, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Wil Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, Virginia. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Lebanon Memorial United Methodist Church, 24 Tate Street, Lebanon, Virginia 24266.
