Dear Estelle, I was going thru some papers and found a Christmas card she had sent me. I was trying to find find some info on her on the internet and found her obit. I'm so sorry to hear that she had passed away. Aunt Evelyn was such a nice person. I remember she always made the best sweet tea. She was always sewing and had a bedroom set up as her sewing room. She made clothes for herself and you and the ties she made. I think dad still had a tie she made when he died. I remember walking thru our strawberry patch to her house. I know you miss her so much.

MY THOUGHTS HAVE OFTEN BEEN OF THIS LOVELY LADY SINCE SHE MOVED WITH HER DAUGHTER TO TENNESSEE. Evelyn and my family used to go to church together, Marion Church of Christ.We are so sorry to hear of her death. We didn't find out until after the funeral. She was a sweet and talented lady whom will be missed. I can still see her beautiful smile when she discussed her quilts. I have so many fond memories of your family and being neighbors on Thornton Dr. I am still using Tupperware from a bridal shower your Mother gave me 41 years ago! Dear Estelle, When we saw your mother's obituary in this morning's Knoxville News-Sentinel it made us feel both happy and sad. She was a very special lady as you well know. We have such good memories of when she was in the carpool. She made lovely ties, pocket hankies, etc for all the fellows in the carpool. And she was always so cheerful and encouraging.
