Obituary of Edith Blevins

MARION, VIRGINIA: EDITH P. BLEVINS, age 84, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia. She was born June 3, 1926 in Grayson County to the late Steve and Jeston Wells Plummer. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, David H. Blevins and her son-in-law, David Gentry. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Gentry; two sons, Cam Blevins and fiancée, Tracy Sizemore all of Marion, Virginia and Gerald Blevins and wife Ann of Marion, Virginia; two sisters, Nancy Stoots of Mouth of Wilson, Virginia, and Kit Young of Sparta, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Greg Blevins, Hope Garrick and husband John, Leslie Davidson and fiancé, Billy Stickley, and Stacy Miller and husband Wesley; five great-grandchildren, Kayla Garrick, Haley Garrick, Brock Davidson, Maddox Blevins, and Brandon Miller. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Doug Halsey officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday, at Seaver-Brown Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Francis Marion Manor, Resident Memorial Fund, 100 Francis Marion Lane, Marion, VA 24354.
