Obituary of Delories Stowers
MARION, VIRGINIA: DELORIES MAXINE SHEETS STOWERS, age 71, died Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Smyth County Community Hospital.
Maxine worked at Buster Brown in Chilhowie, Virginia for thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Stowers; parents, Oscar and Sally Sheets and brother, Jack Sheets.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James and Patricia Stowers of Marion, Virginia; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Karlene "Karcie" and Tony Lambert of Wytheville, Virginia; two step-sons and daughter-in-law, Fred Stowers and Wiley and Trish Stowers all of Max Meadows, Virginia; one sister, Hazel Gordon; one brother, Eddie Sheets, both of Rural Retreat, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Joseph Stowers, Michelle Stowers, Jessie Stowers, Adam Stowers, Jeremy Stowers, Shelley Stowers, Brandi Stowers and Brittany Lambert. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, from
6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
