Obituary of Albert Johnson

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: ALBERT H. JOHNSON, age 71, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his home in Sugar Grove, Virginia. Mr. Johnson was a member of Comers Creek Baptist Church. He was retired from the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute where he had been employed for over 30 years. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy Stamper Johnson of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one daughter, Suzanne Davenport and husband, John of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two sons, Greg Johnson and Alan Johnson and wife, Janie all of Sugar Grove, Virginia; three sisters, Violet Young and husband, Donald of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Nancy Cook and husband, Randy of Chilhowie, Virginia and Ethel Johnson of Marion, Virginia; one brother, Bobby Johnson and wife, Frances of Sugar Grove, Virginia; three grandchildren, Scott, Brett, and Jeffrey Johnson; his dear friend, Gale Anderson; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Pearl, who he dearly loved. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Andy Blevins and Reverend Donald Medley officiating. Burial will follow in Comers Creek Cemetery, Grayson County, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 27, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
