Obituary of Jessie Steele

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: JESSIE D. STEELE, age 87, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Pauline Steele; son, Artice Steele and grandson, Jeffery Woods. Mr. Steele is survived by two daughters, Anita Hall of Sugar Grove, Virginia and Gail Woods and husband Jeff of Switchback, West Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Steele of Bluff City, Tennessee; two sisters, Violet Hopkins and Joyce Teaster both of Marion, Virginia; four grandchildren, Tonya Fields, Jessica Halsey, Lisa Lester, and Travis Woods; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Herman Cress officiating. Private burial will follow in Laurel Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
