Obituary of Pauline Whisman

MARION, VIRGINIA: PAULINE A. WHISMAN, age 81 died Wednesday, December 01, 2010 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia. Mrs. Whisman was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James "Dude" Whisman. Pauline was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She attended Freedom Tabernacle Baptist Church. Mrs. Whisman is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Janice Whisman; Bob and Anne Whisman, all of Marion, Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Dillon of Bassett, Virginia, and Phyllis Coulthard of Rich Valley, Virginia; three brothers, Edward, James and Hobart Armstrong, all of Rich Valley, Virginia; four grandchildren, Michelle Owens and husband, Steve of Roanoke, Virginia, Brandy Fisher of Knoxville, Tennessee, Crissy Martin and husband, Josh of Saltville, Virginia, and Timmy Whisman of Marion, Virginia; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Reagan, Alyssa, Alex and Elijah; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Private Graveside Service will be held at Rose Lawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service.
