Obituary of Rex Dunford

MARION, VIRGINIA: REX DUNFORD, age 69 of Marathon, Florida, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Fishermen's Hospital in Marathon, Florida. He was born April 6, 1941 in Sugar Grove, Virginia to John H. and Fanny Sheets Dunford. Rex has lived in Marathon, Florida for the past 17 years, coming from Manassas, Virginia. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Rex is survived by his wife of 46 years, Della E. Parks Dunford of Marathon, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherri and James Slaubaugh of Manassas, Virginia; Dana and Jim Siegfried of Santa Fe, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Colleen Dunford of Manassas, Virginia; Eric and Cherie Dunford of Marathon, Florida; sister, Dorothy Stamper of Chilhowie, Virginia; brothers, Sherman Dunford of Sugar Grove, Virginia; Randy Dunford of Cummins, Georgia; grandchildren, Kevin of Santa Fe, Texas; Amy and James of Manassas Park, Virginia; John Henry Dunford of Marathon, Florida; Shawn, Katie, Megan and Stephanie all of Manassas, Virginia. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Pugh Cemetery in Teas, Virginia with Reverend Mike Sage officiating.
