Obituary of Ollie Parks

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: MRS. OLLIE RUTH PARKS, age 85, widow of Richard Parks, died October 29, 2010 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. She is survived by five daughters, Virginia Saults of Bakersville, North Carolina, Hattie Cullop , Zetta Lee Hicks Dorothy Grindstaff and Lorie Ann Martin all of Sugar Grove, Virginia; one son, Danny Parks of Glade Spring, Virginia; three sisters, Lula Hall of Marion, Virginia, Virgie Umbarger of Rural Retreat, Virginia, and Louise Osborne of Atkins, Virginia; two brothers, Homer Parks of Rural Retreat, Virginia, and Willie Ernest Parks of Rural Hall, North Carolina; twenty-four grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Bobby Baker and Reverend Billy Gwinn officiating. Burial will follow in Bald Rock Cemetery, Flat Ridge, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
