Obituary of Ellen Snider

MARION, VIRGINIA: ELLEN COE SNIDER, age 94 died Monday, August 2, 2010 at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church and great homemaker and cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Powell Snider and parents, John and Hattie Debord Coe. She is survived by three daughters, Dorothy S. Gillespie, Rita Cress and husband, Bill, Ann Bise and husband, Stanley, all of Marion, Virginia; one son, Roy Snider and special friend Lee Anna Stratton of Marion, Virginia. Five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mark Lundy officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00p.m. until the time of service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
