I send my deepest sympathy to all of you.I went to H.S. with Clarence and my husband was his classmate & good friend. We were blessed in 1999 to spend time with Clarence and a daughter at the 50th H.S. reunion. My husband took his final journey in 2001 and I'm sure he was there to welcome Clarence "home". You are in my prayers. June Bray, Canyon Lake, CA

Dianna: I am sorry about your loss. My sympathy to you and your family. I didn't know your dad personally...but I have always heard people say what a great person he was. You can find comfort knowing that he was greatly loved and respected by all. Although it has been a long time since MSHS days, please know that your classmates mourn with you and share your loss.

Tabatha and family, I am shock and so sorry to learn of your father's death. It's rare in life that in a matter of 55 minutes you find someone so sweet and caring AND bold in his Christian faith as he was.Thank you for letting me transport him to HVMC that day so I could be touched by his caring attitude.

Dear Mrs. Stevens and Family, I am very sorry for your loss. It was an honor to care for Mr. Stevens at Holston Valley. He was such a kind and sincere man. I enjoyed listening to his family vacation stories, especially about the Black Hills. He spoke so fondly of all of you. I could tell that his family was the most important thing to him. He was very strong and courageous and so were you. People like Mr. Stevens are the reason I love nursing. He will always be present in my memory. May God bless you all. Love, Anne Pierce,RN CCU, Wellmont-Holston Valley.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear the sad news of his passing. I pray that God will bless each one, give much comfort and heal each broken heart. Sincerely, Janice Owens Taylor

To the family of Clarence Stevens: I was sorry to hear of Clarence's passing. I lost his classmate and my husband two years ago Sept. 3rd. He talked often of their playing sports together. We sit by him at one of the last class reunions he attended with his daughter. Maybe he and Nat can chalk of some time together talking over old times in Heaven. God Bless you All Betty Berney

We were classmates at Phillipsburg High School and in later years renewed our friendship at our Class Reunions. He was a good friend. My prayers go out to his family. He will be sadly missed by all. We can take comfort in knowing we will all meet again in the not too distant future through the saving grace of our Lord and Savior.

Dear Ones: Our hearts go out to you in this time of sorrow. Doyle grew up with Clarence as a neighbor, as part of the church family and a high school student. Our families worked, played and worshiped together. It was so good and exciting to hear his testimony at church in Phillipsburg last Memorial Day Sunday. We were all blessed. His loyal service to God and family will live on throughout Eternity. God bless you as you carry on until we meet Clarence in Heaven. Love, Doyle and Charlotte

My sincere condolences go out to you Mrs. Stevens and your entire family, and especially to Dianna, whom I used to be pals with. Why you allowed that, I don't know, because I was a senior in high school, and she, a freshman. But I never ever heard you complain to Dianna that I was too old to be talking to her, so thank you for being an understanding parent, and allowing us to be friends. We would talk for hours on the phone, until our parents went to bed, and now, for the life of me, I can't remember what we ever talked about for so long! Dianna and I never dated, but I always thought she would make a great catch for somebody decent. Come to think of it, I guess she was sort of like a little buddy or sister to me at the time. She was very attractive in my eyes, but I knew instinctively, that I would get in a lot of trouble if I tried to be sweet with her. If you don't mind, could you please say "Hello" for me, and tell her I'm really sorry for the loss of her Dad? I know she thought the world of him. Again, to you Mrs. Stevens, my sincere condolences... I'll keep you all in my prayers. Sincerely, Harold Beverly

Stevens family: We are so sorry to hear of your loss, but are glad that we got to be with Clarence at the class reunion in Phillipsburg on Memorial weekend. We sat with him in the Church of God that Sunday and he and Dale gave testimony about what they learned as youngsters growing up together in that church. It was wonderful.
