Dear Diane: My thoughts are full of wonderful memories of you and David. I have been consumed the last few days of memories of our childhood days. One thought keeps coming to me when David and I were sitting in our kitchen at Mt Carmel which has to be mid 60s. I have no idea how that came about. David and I were just chatting about who knows what, but I think of that moment as the time when I became so fond of David and got to know him just a little better than just passing the ball around the court. David was one of my closest friends and neighbors. We grew up together on Fairground Hill. We played all the sports together at Marion High School, football, baseball, basketball, track, there was not much we wouldn't try! I think about David and my other high school friends often. Living so far away it is difficult as I often have the urge to see everyone and talk about the times we all had as we grew up in and around Marion. I will miss David but he will live on in my memory for as long as I live. My condolences to all Dave's family and to all of Marion for the loss of a True Scarlet Huricane and friend to everyone!
