MARION, VIRGINIA: HARRY T. WHITE, age 96 went to his eternal rest Tuesday, July 06, 2010 in Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. He was a member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church having served as a superintendent of Sunday Schools and deacon, a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy and was retired from L.M. Berry Yellow Page Company after 25 years of service. Harry was an avid music lover, a member of the Buddy Waterson Band and a wonderful storyteller. He loved flying and had received his pilot's license. He is survived by his wife, Nell White of Marion, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lynn White of Marion, Virginia; two step-sons, Jake Waller and wife, Kristi of Catawba, Virginia and Jeff Waller of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Doris Miller, Joanna Cantrell and husband, Jake, and Linda Sink and husband, Paul, all of Salisbury, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Michael White, Gregory White, Linda Burchette and husbnd Steve; one step-grandchild, Sarah Cupertino and husband, Mike; three great-grandchildren, Cassandra White, Christian White and Josh White; two nieces, Rita Dawson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Nancy Boyer of Trenton, Florida. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Royal Oak Presbyterian Church with Reverend Alan Gray officiating. The Family will receive friends following the service at the church. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Francis Marion V.F.W. Post #4667, P.O.
