Obituary of Emily Jones

JOHNSON CITY, TENNESSEE: EMILY RUTH "JONESY" JONES, age 89 died Monday, July 26, 2010 at her home in Johnson City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Jones. Mrs. Jones was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee for over fifty years and was also the Director of Central Baptist Daycare for twenty five years. She worked in the church nursery for nearly twice that many years. She is survived by her daughter, Susan J. Archer and husband John E. Archer of Johnson City, Tennessee; three sons, John W. Jones, Paul D. Jones and Richard F. Jones, all of Johnson City, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A Family Graveside Service will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Round Hill Cemetery in Marion, Virginia. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the Central Baptist Church Nursery Department, Attention: Ann, 300 North Roan Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
