Obituary of Florence Price

MARION, VIRGINIA: FLORENCE WALKER PRICE, 84 years old went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2010. She was a loving wife and mother. She was also a long standing member of Grosses Creek Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and entire family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Franklin and Laura Parker Walker; her soul mate and husband, James Berley Price; three brothers, Ervin, Odell, and Delmer Walker; one sister, Viola Shepherd; her beloved granddaughter, Charity Rivera. She is survived by four children, Herman and Kathy Price of Benton, Lousiana, Shirley Semones of Marion, Virginia, Erma Sue and Ronald Starling of Hope Mills, North Carolina and James Franklin and Kathy Price of Jarettsville, Maryland; three sisters, Gladys Shepherd of Wilksboro, North Carolina, Carrie Royal of Aberdeen, Maryland and Juanita Huffman of Elverson, Pennsylvania; one brother, Elmer Walker of Chilhowie, Virginia; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Darrell Lambert and Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Burial will follow in Grosses Creek Cemetery, Chilhowie, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
