Obituary of Ethel Burkett

RURAL RETREAT, VIRGINIA: ETHEL HICKS BURKETT, age 89, widow of Reverend Clarence Gordon Burkett, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia. Mrs. Burkett was a member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gordon and Phyllis Burkett of Atkins, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kimberly Burkett of Atkins, Virginia and Adam Burkett and wife Nicole of Marion, Virginia; several nieces and nephews, including two special nephews, Wade and Jim Blankenbeckler; and special friends, Betty Mathenea, Helen Evans and Beulah Cregger. Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Eddie Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, in Groseclose, Virginia.
