Ronnie and family; "Uncle Charlie" as I called your dad, is someone who made this world a better place. I used to "play tricks" on him after church on Sunday mornings when I was a kid...I would hide in his car and try to scare him when he got in....Once he let me have his keys (so I could "hide"), and that time I really got him--I turned his radio up really loud, turned on wiper blades, lights, everything I could find and "hid" in the back seat. When he got in and turned the engine, I'll never forget the look on his face--he wasn't expecting such chaos, just the usual "boo"-- he chased me around the car and we laughed and laughed--sounds corny, but honestly it is one of my FAVORITE childhood memories....I'll never forget "uncle Charlie"...my thoughts and prayers are with you..Denise Boyles Johnson

I have fond memories of Uncle Charlie. As a child, at the end of every school year, he always ask to see my report card and gave me a reward. Once when the two of you were visiting he sang with me. I had just learned to play the Battle Hymn of the Republic on the piano. I know he is with God in Heaven walking on streets of gold. He also always took the time to talk with Daddy in his last years on this Earth. For that I am so thankful. I will pray for God to comfort you and keep you safe in his arms in the days to come.
