Obituary of Kernal Long

KERNAL LEE LONG walks with Jesus now, he died April 4, 2010 at age 75 from heart failure. He retired from Fleetwood in Auburndale, Florida in 1999. He was formerly married to Darlene Jane Schaffer for 42 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Kermit and Gladys Ruth Cornett Long. He is survived by his companion, Libby Roarke of North Carolina; four children, Tim Long, Jessie Long, Sherry Long and Terry Long; four brothers, Gene Long, Robert Sexton, Robert Molesworth and Dwayne Long; two sisters, Joan Baldwin and Peggy Long; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia with Reverend Lenny Wingler officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
