Obituary of Mamie Scott

MAMIE LORRAINE SCOTT, age 90, died Tuesday, March 02, 2010 at Francis Marion Manor Nursing Home. Mamie was born September 30, 1919 to the late Homer T. and Gay Scott. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and later became a member of the Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. Mamie was an accomplished quilter, a loving caregiver for her mother and sister, and contributed much research toward her family's genealogical history book. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and six sisters. Mamie is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Harry Howe officiating. Private interment will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Francis Marion Manor for their loving care.
