Obituary of Ernest Sage

ERNEST GENE SAGE Sr., age 62, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at his home. He was born February 5, 1948 to the late Ingram and Emma Grubb Sage. He was a loving husband, father and Papaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred and Shirley; three brothers, I.W., Robert and Hurley; and a son, James Romans. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Sage of Marion, Virginia; five daughters, Dixie Keeter and husband, Jamie of Marion, Virginia, Delena Hayden and husband, Rodney, Sr. and Beverly Sage Roberts and husband, Randy all of Atkins, Virginia, Rebecca Akers and husband, Robert of Wytheville, Virginia and Donna Gray and friend, Michael Tomblin of Galivants Ferry, South Carolina; three sons, Ernest Sage Jr. and friend, Robin Oda of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Eric Sage and wife, Rebekah of Marion, Virginia and Early Sage and wife, Shaunda of Richlands, Virgina; seven granddaughters, Tamara Sage, Jessica Garlick, Kallie Martin, Faith Hayden, Dia Brown, Leiah Roberts and Zoe Sage; twelve grandsons, Justin Jones, Hunter Sage, Blake Sage, Wayne Martin, Junior Hayden, David Akers, Adam Akers, Timothy Gray, Tyler Gray, Ashton Tomblin, Devin Roberts and Ethan Sage; several nieces and nephews; special brother-in-law, Michael Burchett and wife, Linda of Pennington Gap, Virginia; his furry sons, Sunshine, Sisco and Sager. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of you choice.
