I remember the smell of mornings at Nanny & Granddaddy's house. I close my eyes and smell fresh coffee, sausage & cigarettes; I am 8 years old again. I lie in bed listening to Nanny, Granddaddy & Grandma Woods in the kitchen. I sneak down the hallway to join them. Nanny exclaims, "Well, good mornin'! How's my little sweetheart today?" Granddaddy is joyful, "Good mornin', Angel! Gimmie a hug!" Then Grandma Woods, "Well, look-it here! Awww MY! Yer up early, youngin'!" I climb onto Nanny's lap. As my siblings slumber, I am the center of attention - this is MY little moment. Now grown, I cherish that feeling of being PRECIOUS & SPECIAL in their company. I am grateful for life's blessings of loving, kind & comforting Grandparents such as mine. I know Nanny is reunited with Granddaddy and they are at peace. Of course, what I don't know is whether or not there's a smoking section in heaven! Can you hear Nanny laughing with us? She loved to laugh!:)

I met dear, sweet Lois when I started my first job at age sixteen at City Drug. She and Ann Young were very special in my life. They counseled and encouraged me and kept me safe until I was mature enough to do it myself. Her children were very blessed. God Bless and keep you all.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mother. I have known Lois for many years and have had the privilege of getting so close to her at the manor. She was so good to Jennifer our daughter and they loved each other very much. Jennifer called her Babs and she called Jennifer Baby. We took her birthday present to her Friday night and that was the last time we talked to her. We will miss her very much. We know Jennifer will miss her more than we will. Jim & Wanda Owens
